You're totally right about overheating and getting dehydrated super fast in the desert. I've gotten heat sickness in less than 45 minutes at 8am in the summer. Heat is no joke! Also, if you get heat sickness once, you are more susceptible to get it again, so it's worth being extra cautious about.
