This would be a great idea. I enjoy participating in the the "Half Marathoner" discussion forum. I appreciate a chance to discuss various topics with other runners.

With one weekly subject deemed to be interesting and put forth by you as the moderator it should keep the posts on track and topical. This would be in addition to your own thoughts and experiences with racing & training gear and products. So basically your just adding another benefit that may interest readers while taking nothing away.

I think it would be something I would definitely look at some weeks more than others, depending on how connected I feel with the topic! But definitely something I would look at and maybe participate in if I had something worth while to share 🤣

I think that is a great option, and love many comments I see tied to the newsletter on social media ... my concern is that I tend to ‘retweet & comment’ in the hopes of continuing to get visibility (though honestly with my tiny Twitter feed I think I have long since saturated my runner group!), but I don’t want anything that will hurt the growth.

Yes, I would be interested. Good chance to hear something useful and inspirational. Could try the weekly thread and see how well it is received. If the interest level is there then great, if not it can always be discontinued. You should be able to after a few months how it's being received and as new members join the newsletter it may appeal to a wider audience range.

Currently life is too busy and time limited so may not use the option to comment. However I took the few seconds to reply to this so maybe. Also life will get easier and maybe I will start to run faster so workouts will take less time. 😂

Sounds like a great idea! It might also provide you (and us) more immediate feedback as to similar questions many others might have. I find there is a lot to learn from others...and often we feel we are the only one going through something, only to discover there is support in a community environment. Like others, I may not always have time time or need to comment, but it sounds like a great resource. I certainly enjoy and appreciate your newsletters and if this option had been available would have commented earlier. Thanks, Hollie!
