Thanks for this Hollie! Trying to eat at as many local food establishments as we can afford. Tipping more when I can. AS A local business that is closed and will be for some time, Having people think of us means so much. Fleetfeetmonroe.com. Stay active, but stay away and safe. The numbers and estimates that just came out are sobering....

Just got door-side, next-day delivery of Brooks Glycerin trainers from the Running Company Haddonfield. Dave and TJ made it easy. Haven't been using delivery services for food, but I'm considering it.

I shared this on Instagram but I ordered running shoes via text (instructed to do so from their homepage) from Threads and Treads in Greenwich, CT. They were on my doorstep 35 minutes (!) later with a free pair of Feetures socks!!!

Great topic, Hollie! Been using DoorDash more in the past couple of weeks than I ever have, for sure. Also ordering out more in general, as I want the restaurants we love to still be around when this is all over. Our local running stores are offering curbside service, and I'm about to start taking them up on some purchases soon. We have a couple of running stores nearby and I definitely want them to get through this!

I've had more food takeout and delivery in the last month than in the preceding year. All from local places, with extra heavy tips. I'd like to support the local grocery, but the unfortunate fact is that they just don't have basics in stock right now, so I end up at Safeway (suitably masked and distanced).

I just bought new running shoes from our local specialty running store via curbside service. We have to be careful with money but the local stores and coaches need some income during this whole long covid episode. I want everyone to still be in business AFTER this is over!

We've ordered takeout and delivery from a few of our favorite local places. The guy that owns my favorite local running shop also manages a running group and directs 75% of the decent local races. He offered a 20% off sale on high priced electronics this week and hand delivered everything himself. Have to support him if we still want races when this is over.

We've been getting dinner delivered on Fridays as a special treat, and I've been supporting local bakeries and coffee places.

My resolution is to support more local fitness and running stores. It is very tempting to order shoes and other gear online. The last time I went to a running store, I had sticker shock when I browsed through the inventory. However, I think I might benefit from trying on the shoes in the store and weighing my options. Also, the staff members can probably offer extra knowledge about choosing an ideal shoe. I haven't been eating out much, but I have been driving daily and paying to park at one of the local garages.

Ordering takeout from our favorite restaurants, some of them deliver. Just recently purchased 2 pair of running shoes from our favorite running store, HRC.

New shoes from my favorite running store - Haddonfield Running Co.🥰

Ordering takeout pizzas and dropping into Reggina’s Gelato & Espresso in Mullica Hill for homemade cookies and gelato that’s incredibly delicious (how did I not know this place was so amazing?!)

We are being careful with money but when we splurge on some takeout, it’s a local place.
